IPR.VC Fund has invested in international film The Guardian Angel, a psychological thriller about a man who used hypnosis to turn another man into a robber and a murderer. The Guardian Angel is based on the true story of a remarkable series of hypnosis crimes that took place in Denmark during the 1950s. The international cast includes international famous actors like Pilou Asbaek, Josh Lucas, Rade Šerbedžija and Sara Soulie.
The Guardian Angel is a psychological thriller about a man who used hypnosis to turn another man into a robber and a murderer. The story, based on true events, follows the incredible investigations of these crimes as a young investigator becomes obsessed with catching the psychological manipulator, in a battle of minds and wills.
The scriptwriter and director Arto Halonen is internationally awarded fiction and documentary film director and producer, who is known for socially strong-stance subjects. Mr. Halonen has developed the story for over 20 years.
IPR.VC made the investment decision because the films represents balanced combination of storytelling, artistic ambition, business opportunities and international attractive actors. IPR.VC’s invested 1 Million euro of the total 3 million euro film budget. IPR.VC also invests in the film’s marketing expenses. The film producers are Arto Halonen (Art Films production and Tähtiloiste Elokuvatuotanto, Finland), Timo T. Lahtinen (Smile Entertainment, Denmark) and Igor A. Nola (MP Films, Croatia).
